Pharmaceutical and agricultural chemical intermediates

New Japan Chemical is engaged in the development of cyclohexan derivatives and tetrahydrofuran derivatives from the high-pressure hydrogenation of aromatic or furan compounds (e.g. cyclohexan carboxylic acids).

Especially in Pharmaceutical and agricultural chemical intermediate applications, we developed technologies to selectively produce either cis- or trans-cyclohexan derivatives, which are nuclear hydrogenation reagents.Based on our extensive know how and our ability to select the most appropriate conditions for catalytic and hydrogenation reactions we can control high grade refining techniques.

The four major structures of the intermediates offered are as follows.

Flexible structures are offered by controlling various conditions based on high pressure hydrogenation technologies.

2) Cyclohexanones comprised of substituents

New Japan Chemical manufactures cyclohexanones comprised of substituents such as alkyl groups or ester groups, through simple processes based on high pressure hydrogenation technologies.

Selective low or high pressure hydrogenation technologies enable us to make selective hydrogenated compounds.

4) Cyclohexan carboxylic acids and special tetrahydrofurans

Cyclohexan carboxylic acids and special tetrahydrofurans are made by special hydrogenation methods with significantly reduced environmental impact.
