Kyoto Plant

Birthplace of New Japan Chemical and Main Technology Development Base

Our business began at the Kyoto Plant, a facility that now serves as our main base for production and technology development. The plant boasts advanced production lines for an array of products ranging from fatty acids, glycerin, high-grade fatty alcohols and surfactants to plasticizers, polyvalent carboxylic acids and organic gelling agents. Working closely with the adjacent Kyoto Research Laboratory, the Kyoto Plant also plays a key role in new product development by serving as a pilot plant with the flexibility to accommodate both mass production and multi-product, small-lot production.
It is also the base of our production technology development operations, housing our Production Technology Division (Engineering and Facility Management sections), Environment, Safety and Quality Management Division and Intellectual Property Division.
